Blue Coral is a network of three coral 'finger' reefs running out from the shore, with extensive coral formations and a huge abundance of reef fish. It is a varied, easy dive that packs a lot of reef into one site.
The story of Blue Coral
The three fingers create natural lanes of reef separated by sandy channels, a layout that concentrates marine life along the coral edges and makes for intuitive, enjoyable navigation. It has long been valued as a reef that offers variety without difficulty.
Marine life & what you'll see
The dense coral supports clouds of anthias and fusiliers, with angelfish, butterflyfish and wrasse working the structure and goatfish foraging the sandy channels between fingers. The sheer fish density is the highlight — at times the water feels alive with movement.
Diving Blue Coral
With most of the reef between about 5 and 25 metres, Blue Coral suits every level. Beginners enjoy the shallow finger tops while more experienced divers explore the deeper bases and the sandy channels in between, all in typically calm, clear water reached from shore or boat.

Diving conditions & best time
Aqaba offers some of the calmest, most accessible diving in the Red Sea, and Blue Coral is no exception. Water temperatures stay comfortable year-round, from about 21°C in winter to 27°C in summer, and visibility commonly runs 15–40 metres. Blue Coral is a shore & boat dive, so it can be enjoyed across most of the year; the calm gulf rarely sees big swell, and we dive it in small guided groups with all equipment available.
