The story of Moon Valley
The site's open profile and steady, mild water movement keep visibility high and feed the soft corals that give Moon Valley its colour and its name. It has become a dependable all-rounder — relaxed in the shallows, more adventurous as the reef drops away.
Marine life & what you'll see
Red and orange soft corals are the signature here, draping the reef and opening in the current to feed. Among them you will find anthias, fusiliers, butterflyfish and angelfish, with larger fish cruising the deeper edge and the chance of a turtle or ray crossing the open water.
Diving Moon Valley
Moon Valley runs from about 10 metres down to 50, so it works for everyone: all levels enjoy the shallow and mid-reef, while experienced divers can follow the slope deeper. The good visibility and gentle current make it a comfortable, scenic dive reached from shore or boat.

Diving conditions & best time
Aqaba offers some of the calmest, most accessible diving in the Red Sea, and Moon Valley is no exception. Water temperatures stay comfortable year-round, from about 21°C in winter to 27°C in summer, and visibility commonly runs 15–40 metres. Moon Valley is a shore & boat dive, so it can be enjoyed across most of the year; the calm gulf rarely sees big swell, and we dive it in small guided groups with all equipment available.
